SARAH NERBOSO
A born-and-bred New Yorker, Sarah was raised on a steady diet of bagels, Buffy, and Twilight Zone reruns. She graduated from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in East Asian History and, after a detour into New York’s experimental theater scene, graduated with an M.F.A in Film from Columbia University. Her screenplay The Adventures of Awesome Girl received Faculty Honors from Columbia and went on to be an Academy Nicholl Fellowship Semifinalist.
Sarah was a staff writer for three seasons on DreamWorks Animation's Harvey Girls Forever! and for one season of Nickelodeon’s Tiny Chef (which was Emmy-nominated for Best Writing.) She has written freelance episodes for a variety of shows, including Bugs Bunny Builders (WB), Bossy Bear (Nick Jr), Sharkdog (Netflix), HexVet (Nickelodeon), Hot Wheels (Netflix), and Monster High (Nickelodeon) as well as several not-yet-announced projects.
Sarah is especially proud to have been on the writing staff of Warner Bros/Amblin's Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai for two seasons. Season One of the scary adventure-comedy is available to stream on Max. Season Two is expected to be released in 2024. She is currently a staff writer for Disney Jr/Lucasfilms' Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures.
She has done development work for King Features, Dreamworks Animation, Nickelodeon, and Warner Bros Animation. Right now, she is developing a dream project at WBA.
